The Republic of Angola is the 7th largest country in Africa and is bordered by Namibia, the DRC, Zambia and the Atlantic Ocean. The capital and largest city is Luanda, and modern Angola originates from Portuguese colonisation. Angola has vast mineral and petroleum reserves, and its economy is among the fastest growing in the world.

Angola is a member state of the United Nations, OPEC, African Union, WIPO, PCT and signed to the international classification of the Nice Agreement and the Paris Convention.
