LES Asia Pacific Regional Conference 2012

The LES Asia Pacific Regional Conference takes place in on the 3rd and 4th of September 2012 in Tokyo, Japan. The theme of the LES Asia Pacific Regional Conference this year will be “Maximizing the Value of Licensing Intellectual Properties in Pan Asia”. This will provide members in the Pan-Asian region and the US / European region the chance to share developments and insights on Licensing and Intellectual Property.

The LES Asia Pacific Regional Conference have planned 2 plenary sessions and 5 workshops specially designed to target special areas for more in depth coverage of the theme to allow for interaction and discussion. The LES Asia Pacific Regional Conference promotes the sharing of information, education, networking and building of ties. In each session of the conference, the official language will be English. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese is available in each session of the conference except the Workshop 4.

1. Registration requirements of technology import agreements. For example, Chinese rules
2. Restrictions on licensing agreement provisions. For example, guarantees on technological advantages, non-infringement on third party IP rights, and non-use after the termination of the agreement.
3. Secrecy obligation of employees of the licensee and obligation not to compete
4. Legal protection of trade secrets (legal measures against leak of know-how)

Please complete the Registration Form via the web site (https://www.ilcc.com/les_ap/form) and submit it online. Payment may be made in Japanese yen by credit card through the online payment system. VISA, Master, AMEX, JCB and DC cards are accepted. The link to the online payment system will be displayed when you confirm your registration. Please make sure to complete the payment screen, as your registration will not be considered final unless the payment transaction is confirmed. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you after a successful registration. If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail within 2-3 days of the payment, please contact the secretariat.

Dress Code
The Japanese Cool-Biz style (Informal/Business informal/Casual/Business casual) is highly recommended for participants in all sessions, lunches and the reception party.
