
The Poetry Parnassus which is also known as the Poetry Olympics takes place from 26 June to the 1st of July 2012 at the Southbank Centre in London.
The Poetry Parnassus is the largest gathering of poets and the largest poetry festival in the UK. Poets and spoken-word artists from all the competing Olympic nations will be participating in the Poetry Parnassus.
The event will include readings, workshops and discussions with all the poets who were nominated through public voting.
Each poet will also have to contribute a poem in their own language which will then be presented together in the World Record Anthology.
The festival will culminate in a gala event featuring all 204 poets from the competing nations, who will take part in various events across the UK.
Poetry Parnassus is part of the London 2012 Festival.
