SpaceX Falcon 9 Landing
This video shows the 19 February 2017 successful landing of Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket at Cape Canaveral, after delivering supplies to the International Space Station (ISS). The Falcon 9 rocket successfully touched down at the SpaceX’s ground-based landing zone in Florida, marking the 3rd successful solid ground landing post-launch. This was the first daytime landing, and the success means that the company has now landed a total of eight Falcon 9s.
The Falcon 9 rocket lofted the company’s Dragon cargo capsule into space for NASA. The Dragon cargo capsule is filled with supplies and science experiments for the astronauts on the ISS. The Dragon reached its intended orbit and is slowly making its way towards the ISS before it’s captured by the space station’s robotic arm on Wednesday (21 February 2017). The astronauts on board the ISS will then use the arm to attach the capsule to the Harmony module.
